2025
It’s easy to cling to how things used to be, but this project is my way of showing some appreciation to the design that went into some special items that made growing up so fun.
In trying to visualise memories, I decided on 3D representations of games, toys, and technology that were a lot more prevalent in my childhood than they are now. This direction allowed me to give a holistic view of the given object, as well as building some practice on my admittedly unfamiliar 3D modelling skills.
After tweaking around with 3D models, I opted for a style that is very reminiscent of the early 00’s.
This project isn’t filled with any crazy motion design techniques, and no animation that took more than a half an hour to perfect. However, given why I wanted to create this project to begin with; I think that creating something that wouldn’t feel out of place on the screen of a Nokia 3310 felt nice.
